The Beginning

Well... It is time. I have been dancing with the idea ( sometimes soaring against the wind and stuck in one place) to move to Colombia. It's been two years. On December 2017 I knew it was time. So I am taking the leap. I am jumping into the unknown. Is this not life? Do we ever truly know what is coming next? We can have thoughts, dreams, plans or visions. We can have belief of the next steps we need to take. But, even when we think we know where our next step is, the step seems to be a little higher, or lower, and we stumble. At least I am tripped once or twice.

So.... Step may not be the right word for me... My next step is more of a climb. More of a ladder to the roof. But with this step, I will have a better view of the horizon.

On January 17th I am moving to the Amazon of Colombia to live with the locals and learn their ways. I have also started, rather, I have co-founded a project called The Peoples' Forest Project. The Putumayo region of the Colombian Amazon is where we begin. Who knows where we will go. But we are walking forward.

Please join my mailing list and subscribe to this blog to keep informed. I will speak of my journey in the blog and speak of the project in the mailing list. Each of these will only be updated once a month. My first goal is to center my chi. Then, my focus will be sufficient and I will be able to grow this project well. My partners are ready to receive the first $50,000 to begin restoring and conserving the Amazon and empower locals to sustain themselves economically.
