Our primary ongoing project is to build a reserve. The family we are working with has just secured 200 hectares of land.  With this land they are planning of preserving it as jungle as the piece of land. They are building a second maloca (ceremony building)  to bring people to work with the medicine deeper in the jungle. As of now, Ayahuasca is being over harvested.  They hope to continue restoration projects on this 200 hectares to build upon a previous project in which 70 Ayahuasca vines were planted on 2 hectares of the Taita's land. 

 

Soon the family will be looking to purchase more land to grow the reserve.  Eventually we would like to purchase as much land as possible to protect the jungle and build economic viability through tourism.
